yeah man, keep the subie for backup....got my ty last spring and its a knot Im continually unravveling...be thorough.....I got too excited, bought it, then I found out about this community after I purchased the truck and all its issues. youll soon find these trucks are extremely fun, but arent daily driver material. I suggest a beater for regular use.

I don't know too much but if you're familiar with this area maybe we can meet up @ the rockaway mall and head over to see the truck... although if it came between me and eric... I'd much rather take eric along, I'm a n00b

The Ty turned out to pe a complete pile of $h_t. From the horrible repaint down to the motor that was chained down and smoking like Cheech. I was highly disapointed but now am back in the hunt. I have my eye on a Syclone that is for sale in the classifieds below & a Typhoon that is on autotrader. I hope to have a ty/sy within the next few weeks.
On a side note never do business with the guy in the ebay link I posted. Shady beyond belief. i am almost sure the miles were turned back on that Ty. It looked like it had 250,000 hard miles then a quick Macco spray.

Sorry to hear what happened. Let me ask this what exactly are you looking for? What i mean is a low mileage no abuse stock or something with mods and how much you want to spend?

So I found another one . It is a Ty in Illinois w/35000 miles. I fly out this Sat. and will drive it 750 miles back home. I am pretty excited. It is black/grey, 1-owner w/all books & papers down to the window sticker. I hope it is as good as it seems........unlike the last one.

Did you find it here or somewhere else? Did you ask anyone here to go and look at it? Did you go through the how to buy a ty or y document. That was great when i went to look at mine.

I found it @a dealer. A guy traded (2) in on a EvoX. He was asking way more than I offered but he accepted my offer which I think is fair for the both of us. I ran a carfax,which was fine, and have a print-ouf of the how-to-buy guide from here(I agree great document). Some of you guys may have seen it on-line for sale. Here is the vin 1GDCT18ZXP0810710(maybe someone here knows it?) & a picture

Yeah, the guy traded both in on a new Evo. The white one has 80somethingthousand miles. He actually had (3). He is keeping the 3rd, I guess it has ultra-low miles.
