i need to buy a harmonic balancer what do you guys think of the pioneer pio-872021 that summitracing sells? or any other suggestions i will also need a nice timming cover i'm not on a buget so something that would look nice

i got the race version pioneer i cant remember the part number or anything but it is really nice looking,race certified, same size as the stocker and costs like 120 or something like that

any normal place like your local speed shop, summit, jegs, doug herbert, and I have them for about the same price as the rest. 275 or so should get you one.

i like a stock replacement from GM.....syty's use a special one. GM would have used a standard 350 damper too, if these motors didnt have different harmonics.

ya but that weight is on the crank centerline and it's not going to make that much of a differeance.

I have a 3lb aluminum balancer for my truck and gained 400 rpm thats actually useable, so yes rotating mass does make a difference .

thats what i was thinking when i ordered mine but i didnt think there was enough benefit for the coin. so i went with the other one .

yes it will make a diferance, I never said it wouln't. I said it wouldn't make that big of a differance.
