clipping?

I ran across some dsm guys talking about clipping the turbine. They said it's comparable to swapping in a bigger turbine wheel. What exactly is clipping? I don't think I've ever heard it mentioned here. Thanks :drinking:

clipping as I've seen can be 2 things. trim the outer edegs of the turbine wheel thereby giving less surface area and making less restriction.

second reducing the angle of the turbine blades.

I think they may have been referring to the angle. They mentioned something about 25* being the norm.

if Im correct both increase lag/spoolup of the turbo. I think they are methods used to decrease restriction on an otherwise undersized exhaust housing/turbine.
