We were thinking about a caravan, but I think the wife and I have decided to head to KC early. We've never been before and have gotten tips of some places to check out while we're there. And I don't think our Volvo could keep up with a bunch of Sys and Tys... Unless they're broke.

Thursday would work for me. I wonder what the event itinerary is for Friday?

Re: CO caravan to Nats

Depending on what a few peeps are doing in the TX, AZ, OK areas ;) ...I may be down to join you guys...its actually the "shortest" route for me. I am leaving on Wednesday no matter what though, I left Early thursday last year, and arrived early Friday (like 2 AM, non-stop driving :) ). I felt like crap and my truck was nasty. I need a day to recoup and detail the Ty :D .

ThaJokr is planning on going this year and I know he'd be down to join up.

Not sure if he wants me to say or not, but he will no longer be in this state. He did say that he was going to try his hardest to make nats though

He may just fly there, instead of joining a caravan in D-town.

TJ, you could take over his lease for him :D

Man, I so would if I could! But alas, I own a Ty, a Volvo, and a House... Don't think there's room for an S4... Well, there is room, but not money. :(

That, and I'm trying to buy my dads '87 S-15 for a run-around mobile and may have to buy an engine for it in the near future.

Re: CO caravan to Nats

If I do end up going I would love to caravan. Especially since my truck always breaks, would be nice to have some support in the middle of Kansass if I needed it.

I think that is the reason behind the caravan. Between all of us, we have fixed everything that could possibly go wrong on these things :rotf:

Re: CO caravan to Nats

Just an FYI, Thursday is the day (night) a bunch of folks get there - typically BS till about 5am, then catch some sleep (the only sleep you'll get in KC) until late morning, then clean the truck and enjoy the party. :D

Back when I was MHST we left Aurora around 9am if memory serves, and prob would've made it in 6 hrs except Bill Mercer's trailer had a blowout and we were stuck in BFE Kansas for an hour+. Will/Dabney can prob give you a better idea of the trip.

Somebody drag Hartman and Cheatham along!

We need to get half the board to call Hartman and beg him to come... but like the previous post, its a long shot. I too will try to convince him.

I'm in the process today of buying a GMC truck to pull the Syclone to KS. I will have extra room as it will just be myself travelling there. So is leaving Thursday morning the tenative plan?
