Well, I've owned both a Typhoon and a YZF.
The YZF will take you. Not off the line, but in the overall race. All he needs to do is wind it out in first and second. You'll be smoked.
But then again, I agree with what was said earlier. Do the guy a favor and DON'T race him until he's had the bike longer. You don't need to have a part in him doing something stupid that could get him killed. :-?
At least go to a track so he will have to adhere to safety rules.
Oh, and for your 0-60 race. He can hit 60 in first. His 0-60 times are in the 3 secnod range, while yours are in the 4 second range. Something to consider.
