Daron, Mike, and Corbin happened to stop by today, actually Daron showed up last night.

If anybody values their life, tools, etc. DO NOT LET DARON NEAR.

First off,

Last night, we decide to play with the Honda 600 motor and F.A.S.T. Go to hook up my laptop (which worked fine, before Daron showed), and cord is smoking, OK, pull cord fix short, install. This time the end of cord is hot, no problem, replace other end. Plug back in. UMMM Now the laptop is smoking...umm

Death to LAPTOP

This morning Mike and Corbin show up, and manage the two of us, as we build Daron a new mod for his truck. (I will let him post pictures when he gets back home tomorrow).

After the new mod is done, we need some food and hose. Head to auto store, burger place, etc.

I am driving a '95 Tahoe. We pull out of Pep Boys, and who is in front. I green honda rice boy punk kid, with BIG tip, lowered, etc. So Daron and I start laughing, and I start to get the Tahoe to buck behind him at red light. Thinking he may try to go. No luck, he takes off like grandma, cruising the stip.

3 Blocks up, he decides to turn left. Daron and I still laughing at his car, so as I pass, I throw it in N, and rev the BIG OLE stock Vortec 350 Flowmaster Hoosier exhaust, Type R Tahoe at him. GAME ON!!!!!!!!!

He jumps in behind me.. Laughter at this point is building.

We end up racing, with the Type R Tahoe, just barely getting beat before we had to hit the binders. We are just about crying of laughter. He again is in front, and decides to get in turn lane. I roll up about 1 car behind him, in next lane over. I am sure everybody could hear us laughing at this point.

Mr. Rice boy backs up, rolls down the window, then stats "You think that shit is funny huh?" Wanting to get out and fight us.

I am laughing so hard at this point, I didn't realize we pissed him off somehow. Maybe he was thinking he could pull hard on the Tahoe and not just inch it out, he should have know it was a type R.

So Daron kills my laptop, then proceeds to try to get me in a fight.

WATCH OUT!!!!!!!!

I don't think it would have lasted long, these guys were probably still in diapers..

Hey Jeff,
Thanks for letting us hang out and watch you in action. Felt pretty worthless standing around with my thumb in my ass, but still had a good time. Besides, you had everything under control anyway.

All I can say is JS has some insane fabrication skills  Mike and I both were impressed with what he was building with Daron. Wish we could've hung around to see the finished product. And then there's the upper intake he fabbed up from scratch- where to begin on that? Man, you have to get that Ty running in time for the April 26th mofo meet up here. I've got to see that in action.

In regards to your rice story, we saw an 80s monte ss aero-back on the home. You know, the one with the hideous bubble rear window? Dude had his slant-cut exhaust tips on upside down  Thought Mike was gonna run off the road laughing.

Yes... I got to go to the famous JS Design studio, finally! While it was all about SyTy's I am very grateful for Jeff allowing me to escape the wife's dog show.

I had nothing to do with the laptop smoke. I do recall me saying "Ya want to verify which pins are which?" After a negative reply, Mr Genie came out of the laptop.

The kids in the Honda, well that was some funny shit...

Thanks for having me Jeff, you are a master fabricator and a person of many talents.

So what did you guys build?

A Laptop smoke releaser??
A Rice agitator?

Is Daron's truck getting a JS design Intake fabbed up?
WTF???

I was hoping Daron would post pictures. I am dumb, but not dumb enough to make MORE intakes.

Hint: Daron now has a big long black one!!!

and yes, I think that $hit is funny!

Daron post pics. If you need them hosted email them to me.

The big black one split a "rubber" last night..

BTW, Jeff REALLY knows what 2 1/2 inches of rubber looks like. He picked up a rubber sleeve at Home depot that was labeled 2 inches, but swore it was 2 1/2. We got it back to the house and it measured 2 1/2. Not sure I want to hear the story about where he cultivated such a keen eye for things of that size.

Daron sent me the pics.

FYI: he wanted to remove intercooler, and just run alky injection and lots of it.

2 things we noticed

Stock intercooler is VERY restritive. Boost control was gone when removed.

It is a true alcholic now. It liked it, and lots of it.

Although he did have some knock, I truely believe it is all fixable with some or Darons tricks he has in store.

You can see the alky jet location in pic. We decided to aim it centered on TB Blades, and have jet out of air stream. It came out NICE IMO, but I am biased.

Not bad for a few hours work, and 2 burns 1 being on my FACE!!!

Daron goes away unharmed, I am left injured, and without a laptop.

No need to be biased Jeff.....that is VERY nice. So nice, in fact, that I am (by default) prompted to ask the question - "Do you have any plans to reproduce this?".

Ever since Mark posted about this idea, I have been hooked on it. The idea of losing the IC's restriction, area of pressurization, and weight have been very appealing to me. If you did decide to reproduce, I'd definitely be in for one. Daron, have you noticed any major difference in spool-up, seat-of-the-pants performance, or anything worth mentioning?

Anyways....Just wanted to share my appreciation. Keep us posted if you decide to divulge any further into this.....

I could reproduce. It was a custom job, hence I didn't take measurements, etc needed to produce more without using another truck for mockup.

Different turbos would change things also.

I know Daron had about $40 in tubing. I had about 3-4hours labor.

Do the math, then try to convince me to do it. We can go from there.

SPOOL: I have never seen a boost gauge move that fast. I thought the needle was going to keep spinning. Not sure how it was before, but I do know boost control was shot. If I remeber right Daron did tell me it was more responsive. Hopefully he will have some time to respond.

not stock
so you wanna shoot all you're a/c juice through your engine?

You'd have to refill your a/c like every 2 minutes, that'd be kinda costly.
