Heater Blower Controller

My heater blower motor only works in High all of a sudden.. I changed the blower switch under the hood and it still only works in high. Pic of what I changed below

The only thing left to change is this part listed below

Does anyone know what the actual GM part number for this? It is the blower control speed selector on the HVAC Panel inside the truck?

There's no blower "switch" under the hood. I assume you're talking about the blower resistor?
I don't see a resistor pack in either of those pictures so I'm a little confused about what you replaced.
Here's a resistor:

Do these have that coil in the heater box that ties in to all that stuff too or not?
If it does check that also was a problem on one of my older vehicles.

That coil is the blower motor resistor. The different coils have different resistance values and give the motor it's various speeds. And yes, Sy Ty's have them.

Try the blower motor relay. I had the same problem with mine. it was the relay.

Had the same problem on my El camino and the blower motor resistor was the problem. Same thing with my girlfriends 02 grand prix... Blower motor resistor

Question along similar lines. My fan control is completely dead. I have tried another switch and that didn't fix the issue. I currently have to hot wire my fan. Does my scenario sound like the blower motor resistor as well?

only two things I would consider would be the blower motor resister which is pictured in post #2 or the blower motor relay which I'll post a pic of mine below

Yes this was replaced.....I chose the wrong pic sorry

What does the blower motor resistor look like and located? I have to replace the relay, but where is teh resistor?Thanks

Did the speeds go out one after another? And now you've only got high? If so 9/10 times it's the resistor due to the final speed being a very high capacity resistor it'll take all the power you can throw at it. R and R the blower resistor and call it a day.

Actually, nothing works. I can hear the AC kcik on, switch to vent/heat, but no speeds on teh fan

If you've got no speeds, you should start with the relay. If you've got only high, it's very likely the resistor.

good chance its blower motor. I replaced relay and resistor just today with known good ones from sonoma gt and no change...blower motor it is, for me anyways...then i though of a quicker was to diag it, pull the purple off the blower motor with ign on, fan on, and meter the purple wire (inside is a female spade connector) to ground, should be 11-13 volts
