pretty cool when you realize its not a stroker and its not a bowtie block and there just plain old not port matched vortecs at 4000 lbs.

actually we hoped to get a 9 in but some guy oiled the track before our last run and it spun em pretty bad and only did a 10.16 spinning thru the 60ft

tim a guy at the track did get a video. i am waiting to see if he emails it to me or keith. then we can post it.

left the house in the dark and i just stopped to unload at the shop in the dark... its been a long day.

btw, you guys seem to forget. Harry nderson is the one that really should be getting the props here. All i do is turn wrenches and drive. harry is doing the combination and tuning stuff.

so yall tell harry, he may not post but i do know that he reads all this stuff.

2 weeks ago mike lee told me to tell harry to put something in it to get 50+ or 100 + more hp. Well mike, i told em and here are the initial results for the 1st time out with the change harry did. :D

Yes we did get a video of one pass...it hit the tires pretty hard, went 10.16 on the video pass I believe :eek:

Ed is one happy camper.....I can just remember the day ed came to us and said....we just wanna get a few tenths knocked off (you know have some fun) then whack it back to 12.0 to run brackets.... Well Ed, one thing I can say to you is that.....right now you could brake hard at the 1/8th and still knock off an 11.50 :eek:

We're definitely gettin there, big chunks are comin off in the next....well you'll surely find out! :lol:

*On a side note, I almost forgot what FAST felt like until I drove my Sy today. I hit 22psi with the TC locked in 3rd, and it absolutely Took Off in this chilly Fall air. A few of us have plans to hit Atco on Nov.13th. If not then, then Nov.27th. Hopefully I'll finally get my 10 second run in.

yeah mike the last trip to the track was when it went 10.57. that was 2 weeks ago.

harry, keith and i gotta work on what gonna be done next.... that can be done is only a week or less. :D

btw keith is lalso largley responsible for us to be able to go back to the track 2 weeks later and cut off a half second.

you wouldnt beleive that for a cost of less than $400 we wnet .500 faster!

these 2 guys (harry and keith) are incredible they know the combinations, and not just for syty's.

keith is building a 7 second 4000 lb impala, and harry has an 8 sec firebird he cant finish cus i take all his freetime draggin his 6 to the track (both turbo with gen7 dfi).

hope its got more than one cuz i gotta make 5 runs to get my nhra license, albeit not all 5 have to go 9's.

Before i can do the license i gotta make enough 9 sec runs to know that it can do 9's whenever we want withoutit being dependant on something we cant control. like track conditions.
one future change will have to address this.

i think license runs require 1 or 2 60ft launches, 1 1/8 mile blast, and 1 or 2 flat out 9.xx runs to get the license.

moved the tire around the wheel another inch today. lol :)

Its a shame about the oil, it was just at the end of the 60ft the spill happened and exactly the spot that it began to spin. launched with no spin tilll it hit that spot. Only one car went before me after the cleanup. bummer huh!

I can finally talk about going 9''s now that we are so close to actually doing it.
before it would have sounded so in conceivable.

not bad for a guy that prior to 3 yearsa ago used to pay his mechanic friend to change his oil and any other maintenance it needed.

you guys on the bbs here can all pat yourself on the back. because everyone here taught me so much about these trucks in the begginng.

and with that i will take my oscar award, take a bow, get off the stage and shut the blank up, and go get some sleep.

SO damn wound up from the day, i shouldve gone to bed long ago. adrenaline still pumping. LOL
