oh I forgot, youre the only one who spends time and money on their truck. At least mines been driveable for the past 4 years, excuses are like assholes.

I'm not saying I'm the only one who spends money on my truck, but it hasnt been cleaned like this in years and I intend to keep it this way for a little bit, not destroy the work a day after its been completed. Its like painting your whole truck then taking on a road trip on the highway in the winter so it can get sandblasted again.
The truck will be out and will to a NASTE meet this year, dont get all depressed.
Yes you are right it has not been out in a long time, hopefully it will be worth the wait once I run this bish at the track,

I will just admit it, I am a pussy. I am going to make decision tomorrow on how the weather looks to see if I am going to register my Truck or not. I need an alignment and finish puttng the steering together.

no need to worry about no inner wells. i had mine out on my blazer for over a year now and no problems. even in the rain. it dont make as big of a mess that everybody thinks.
if it rain then i dont need to wash my syclone. i picked my rims up today from my parents house. so tomorrow i will wake the sy up from her winter sleep. do a little check up. maybe change the plugs if i have time.

lol, you aren't going to win that battle with morgan just give up while your ahead. He has had his truck painted detailed everything and then driven it all winter. He has pretty much restored two trucks; his and the duck.
Taking your truck to the track is going to put alot more abuse on it then taking it out just after you have it detailed. Even if you spent $200 bucks to detail it, one pass at the track and you can kiss more then that good by.

On another note, Rob i'll give you a call tomorrow to see what time you want to meet up on sat to cruise down there. We are meeting up in Waterbury if any CT or MA guys want to try and meet up with us. I'll have the truck out rain or shine, hope to give it a bath even if it is going to rain.

See you all there.

Mine is freshly painted and detailed as of late last fall and I'm gonna make the drive up to Connecticut rain or shine. You've got all summer to clean up your trucks again. What's the point of owning one of these great road beasts if you don't trust it enuff to have fun with it. It's not the end of the world if it takes a dump on ya during the trip - that's part of the adventure of ownership. Get AAA+ - they'll tow you home. Besides, it'll only strand you completely if you do something stupid on the way there or back. We all have enuff mechanical ability to limp our beasts to Jimmy's for some fun for a day. I just replaced my entire IC system on Wednesday and the pump don't work and it leaks at almost every connector. Typical results for one of my efforts but so what. I'll fix it as I go but I'm gonna drive it 3 hours up and back anyways. My oil lines from my remote oil filter to my radiator started leaking pretty bad and made a major mess in and under my driver side engine compartment - so what. I'll carry some extra oil with me. I need new u-joints pretty bad on my rear driveshaft and my front rims need to be balanced - AGAIN. So what if the ride will blurr my vision by the time I get there. But I will be there representing NASTE's finest. This is a club for us and us only. We aren't gonna pick on each other for driving a beater SY or Ty. We are supposed to be here for each other and to help and support each other. Seems like time and time again everybody says they are coming and 3 days before an event owners start dropping out like crazy for all sorts of stupid little excuses - weather, my truck's not perfect, etc. C'mon guyz, let's make NASTE the SyTy regional club to be modelled after. Morgan puts a ton of time, effort and planning into this for us not to mention Jimmy opening up his house for a bunch of guyz he really doesn't even know is something we all need to recognize and appreciate. Don't let this whole meet wither down to just a coupla trucks just because of some less than optimal weather. Like I said, mine is freshly painted but I daily drive it and it never looks nearly as clean as I want it to but it's mine and I'm proud to be seen on the road in any kind of weather - the looks and recognition I get makes it all worth it. Come to Jimmys' with your rig and show us all what ya got!!! :2cents: End rant..........

Damn Dennis, you tell 'em! My truck will be there, as long as Derek's purple wire issue isn't contagious. Watch out for primer coming down the highway!

Oh yeah, while I'm thinking about it, I'm sorry to announce that the NASTE shirts will not be ready in time. 8 seperate Barmitzfah's (I'm pretty sure I'm spelling that completely wrong) jumped in line in front of us. They'll probably be done around next weekend. Sorry about that guys.
