Re: meth/alky install

Thanks anybody else got one the did any different?

I remember seeing one where they used double nozzles and placed them at the sides of the cooler, where it meets the throttle, the one I posted the nozzles is placed under.

If you have the stock w2a then there is no best place to install it :2cents:

Re: meth/alky install

I will be using the alky control kit on my stock air/water intercooled truck.

Is there a "best" place to put the nozzle? I did some searching and a few people said they tried before and after the core, and didnt notice anything different.

Wasnt sure if anyone had opinions to share? THANKS :) ---

Same location, bottom of intercooler, but further away from the TB so I did not have to cut into the hose clamp.

Re: meth/alky install

So is it best to go between the turbo and intercooler to get the intercooler chilled , or between the intercooler and throttle body so it goes directly into the intake manifold? ---

I've always been a fan of running it like Rick has posted above (post-IC). If the air leaving the turbo is 200 degF and the IC cuts it down to (let's say) 110 degF, then IMO the methanol has a greater ability to drop that air to 60-70 degF. Whereas if you spray pre-IC, the methanol exhausts it's cooling capabilities and the IC is left to lower the (now cooler) IATs. I just don't think the upper IC is as capable at dropping the temps as low as methanol once the air is semi-cooled.
