ok i have desided my antifreeze is leaking from the front of the block, i do not want to remove anything that i do not have to but i can not see were it is leaking from. it must be 1 of 2 things. 1. freeze plug or 2. cracked block. now i have the fan and shroud off and do not want to pull the ac comp off, since that is a pain to get off. i do not want to crack any of the cast backets since they are all new. whta can i get away with leaving on and still get to the freeze plugs of the front of the block? anyone have a pic of the front of a bare block so i can see where they all are?. or do i have a way to them if the brackets are still on if i remove the grill and rad? since that is the quickest.

are you sure that the waterpump, or one of those hoses isn"t leaking?
you should get a coolent system tester and put some pressure on the system to feel for leaks, with the fan of.

I'm leaning toward a bad water pump. Are you sure it's not coming out of the bottom "weep" hole in the WP? The only reason I say this is I had to replace my WP last weekend in my Blazer. Mine was starting to leak bad and you couldn't really tell it until I got the pump off. I hope that it's just the pump. Good luck.

i thought maybe pump but it leaks as soon as you try to add anything to the rad. and both hoses are fine. maybe from the bottom of the pump but i dont think so it comes out to quick for that, it is not like a small leak, as soon as it hits the rad it is coming right out just as fast as i pure.

Is that with the engine running? That's how mine acted with the engine running but it wouldn't leak like that when the engine was stopped. With it running the water would just come streaming out of the weep hole in the bottom of the WP. Sure hope it's just something to do with the WP.
