Re: No boost
figured out why she wasn't making boost.
-boost controller valve wasn't receiving 12 volts. Not sure what happened, but now when you turn the key to run, you will hear it pulsating now. With no voltage, the valve must have been in the open position, and allowing the boost to bleed. I will install a toggle so, when/if this occurs again I will be ready to continue riding without any issues..
Not sure where it's receiving it's signal from, but a straight wire will all ways work... I guess I need to remove all this wiring and redo it for good measures.
Also learned that the (ATR) Pitbull street chip requires a 3 bar map sensor, not a two.....
Accomplishments for today:
-Installed the plugs/wires/ignition button, disturb cap. First time I have to jack a car up to install some plugs. I have it down to a science now..... that #5 plug (3rd on driver side) was very difficult at first... then I decided to go underneath and it was a piece of cake. The other 2/4/6 were fairly easy, going over top of the passenger tire. They were the quickest to get done.
I gap my plugs at .033. The MFG, states .035. Not sure if this will make any difference. I should have followed the MFG's direction. Perhaps I will regap them tomorrow. I am sure this will help with better fuel economy.
Tomorrow ventures:
-replace rag joint on steering column
-clean her up inside & outside
-purchase a good deck
Sunday/Monday Ventures:
-Install new stereo, amps, mids (f/r) and subs
I would like to personnally thank everyone that offered suggestions to fix my No Boost issue....
