as it says....i have the correct adx fdx files from code59, it WAS emulating (bin downloaded) but now that i hooked up my aldl to usb to the laptop i can't emulate with the ostrich OR data log with the aldl/usb. what gives? when i open TPRT right before it opens when it quickly "looks for hardware" it says "no hardware detected" and then opens TPRT. any ideas guys? truck is running with a similar tune, but running rich. i haven't took it around the block yet because of no insurance and not being able to ready any data. please type slowly as i am new to it all. TIA

What OS version?

Press the Windows Key + R and type in "sysdm.cpl" (w/o "") and press Enter. Click the Hardware tab and click Device Manager. Any exclamation or question marks under Other Devices or Universal Serial Bus Controllers?

Do you hear the hardware connectivity chime when you plug the Ostrich in?

The Network Controller error won't affect your situation and the biometric coprocessor is your fingerprint reader. However, we need to see if the unknown device is related to the Ostrich. Reboot your PC and open the device manager (before connecting your Ostrich). Do you see the unknown hardware? If not, connect the Ostrich with Device Manager still open. After 10-15 seconds do you see the unknown device appear? If so, you have a failed driver installation or corrupted driver.

I never did see what OS version you're using.

Try this:

Download the Moates Drivers: LINK

Reinstall them and then connect the Ostrich....wait 10-15 seconds and then fire up TP5RT. If it doesn't recognize the hardware, wait another 10-15 seconds and click the Initialize Emulation Hardware button (in the toolbar). If still no success, try another USB port and repeat.

If after everything you still have no success, try reinstalling Tunerpro.

Re: no hardware found!?!?!?!? (in TPRT)

sorry, i didn't mention it. its a ibm thinkpad with windows xp.

i tried opening device mangr and see any unknow hardware...nope. i plugged the ostrich in and the list flickered and it looked the same.i do get the beeping when i plug or unplug the usb.

i redownloaded the moates drivers. connected the ostrich and fired up TPRT..when it started up it said "didnot find drivers"..i uninstalled TPRT and re installed it again....repeat...same thing, it didn't detect any drivers.

any other suggestions? im not sure what i could have done? it was emulating just fine. downloaded a bin and everything. adx and xdf files are at the top of the window along with the bin.

Re: no hardware found!?!?!?!? (in TPRT)

actually, when device mngr is open, i connect the usb for the ostrich something comes up...ports (com & LPT) and under that is ."usb serial port (COM2) i double clicked on the above and i updated the com2 port. restarted computer, fired up TPRT and it still said no device found (with ostrich plugged in).....clicked initialize emulation hardware and no hardware found.

im at a loss.

to complicated matters more, the aldl/usb cable plugged into the laptop and when i click accure data (connect/disconnect) the tab below turns blue and says DA connected. but when i pull up the dash, i don't have any tps movement when i press the gas pedal with the ignition key on.

Re: no hardware found!?!?!?!? (in TPRT)

The hardest part of code59 is getting it up and running on a computer. I always have problems.

On TP5 the ADL or is it called the ADX on TP5 would not download properly with windows internet explorer. I think is was showing installed but would not work. I then used google chrome and things worked. Don't know if this is your problem or not.

Re: no hardware found!?!?!?!? (in TPRT)

wildphil and sytyguy, nothing seemed to be working, sooooo i uninstalled EVERYTHING. Reinstalled TPRT, bin, adx, fdx and bam! im emulating. BUT...of course there is always a but with sytys, when i hit acuire data (enable/disable) the bottom of the screen goes from yellow DA not connected .....to....light red DA connecting...shouldn't it be blue DA connected?

when i open my dash, with the ignition key on, shouldn't the tps move if i press the gas pedal?

Re: no hardware found!?!?!?!? (in TPRT)

I had a situation with my moates xtreme usb aldl cable where it worked fine then suddenly tp4 and dm would say it's connected but I wouldn't get any data streaming. I fought with this pos for two months and tried it on 5 different laptops and eventually found someone else with a truck and a working laptop aldl cable to test with and found that it was an issue with the xtreme cable setup that was a year and half old.

I emailed moates and told them the situation and my test method and what model machines i used and they said ship it in to them. Two weeks later i get a brand new one in the mail and haven't had an issue since.

I'd try to hook up with another local syty person and try there setup on your truck and go from there.

Yeah, I was thinking its POSSIBLE that a new cable could be bad. Im gonna wait and see how it plays out. Maybe its an issue on my end. im open to suggestions on things to try.

Maybe someone wants to try it? Ill ship back/forth?
