Yep, I bought it with 18K on it. Flew down there and drove it back. Found out it had engine trouble and brought it to RR a few weeks after getting it. Never saw it again until now....

How long did he have it????? Judging by the rust in the cylinders quite some time!!!

I'm surprised that there were actually trucks still there, how have people not gotten them from him by now.

I know this sounds stupid, but 10 years in someone else's garage? Has anyone picked up on that yet? I know some people have projects (including myself), but 10 years, and the truck had 20k miles on it?!?! I would have pulled it out at the second I found my parts laying in boxes not labeled...

Today was the first time I found my parts in boxes
Did alot of stuff in ten years (started a business, built a new house, had 3 kids)...I pursued it pretty hard for the first year or so, but then sort of gave up and hoped he would get around to it eventually because I didn't have the time to deal with the issue. Learned my lesson on that one. Thats the first and the last problem I will ignore.....

There were a few trucks there. SPiN's Typhoon was still there, and then there were a few other Typhoons and a couple Syclones...

And a bunch of other pallets with boxes of parts, blocks, transmissions, etc. on them....

Just glad to hear that you got most of your stuff back. Hopefully you can get it back together with help from somebody who doesn't jack you around.

Looking for opinions on how to rebuild the truck.... Lots of people are saying since it only has 20K on it I should rebuild it stock because it will be worth more $ that way versus beefing it up.... I don't really need a speed demon. My G37 gets me in enough trouble.
Thoughts....?

@mmightyb, just my opinion: if you don't need speed, rebuild it as close to stock as possible. Not many low mile, non-modded examples left out there.

Build up the engine internals with stronger parts and do the rest completely stock. I don't think it'll hurt the value since the motor's all ready been pulled out.

Thanks. That is pretty much what everyone has been saying and is probably the route I will end up going (build it up a little...aiming for reliability more than performance). I am going to get the rest of the stuff today.

Also, the number on my trans matches, but the block does not. Neither did any of the other blocks laying around the shop that I could get to....

Here are the other pics. Needs some work, but not in that bad of shape considering 10 years of neglect....

You guys are crazy thinking that he would sell a customers truck or something. he has helped me with my Camaro and my Typhoon with no problems over the years. I've known Guy for prolly 10 years. there may have been some bad business deals here and there on this forum for some reason or another, but he is not selling engines or whole trucks that belong to a customer. He told me on the phone today that only tools, lifts, welders ect. and un paid for new parts were for sale. he said hes in the process of getting customers to pick up the trucks. I'll be down there tomorrow most likely to see about buying some of his tools and equipment.

If said parts were purchased with funds acquired from paying customers not receiving their pre-paid-for-work....then i'm thinking he should be careful with any proceeds from his fire sale.
