Warning: this post will have NO pictures.

Was in a car show yesterday (Ambler PA) and a guy was looking at my truck and says he has one. I asked what number (he wasn't sure). He said, "I bought it and put it away."

Turns out its a Royal Blue (he described as "dark blue) with 100 miles on the clock!

He said he also has an 87 GN with 100 miles.

Nice to know these cars will be around when I have the $$. (He said he's not selling.)

I suspected he probably had a collection. Anyone who has a 100 mile Ty and doesn't know much about it probably has MORE vehicles than he can keep track of.

That is a true statement . I knew this guy up north that I was visiting and he ask me if I wanted to see a old car. I said sure and we went out to his barn and among all the cars that were there sit the winner of the 1962 Oakland Grand National Roadster Show. The car was dirty but you could still the shine of the paint.

I spoke to him a few years back at the kirban meet Steve set up. He at the time said he had the blue ty but told me it had 3-400 miles along with a gn with the same. He mentioned some other cars he had bought and put away but nothing stuck with me. He said he bought the ty brand new from Reedmans and basically parked it. He didn't even have a gn or turbo t at the meet when I meet him just his daily. Said he was friends with Dennis Kirban.

You never know whats around, I have been lucky enough to see some gems in PA barns. Its to bad at the time I was around 16 years old and could not afford to buy these "gems" or even make a reasonable offer. A guy from my old job and I went to look at a late 1960s Nova with a 396. Had SS badges and was full of dirt. I should check to see if its still there.

Some of the best gems have been fond in the sticks of PA haha. Sounds like this guy knows how to collect rare breeds of cars. BTW, Jeff you sending me a PM soon? ;)

I'm still looking. I've been traveling the state a lot lately...many small towns...and keep an eye out in backyards and barns and cars "for sale" on the front lawn. I'm hoping for a holy grail any day now...
