Not really b/c the ones who talk the most shit never show to any of the events.
It is some skewed perspective that the Nats is just the internet bullies from syty.net.
In fact there is only one active member from the Nats planning committee who is a reuglar here at .net... Thats me.
Personally I think the Nats attendance is down for a number of reasons, none of which have anything to do with this board.
Half assed planned events in the past have given some folks a bad experience.
High owner turnover leads to less loyalty in the owner base.
Younger owners typically means less money to travel long distances for short periods of time.
Vendors making little to no profit off this group makes it tough to justify the trip and expenses for little to no return.
These trucks are 14 years old now, GM has shunned us, killed the entire S-Series line, but yet there is still a die hard following of LOYAL owners who will do just about anything to sit in a parking lot full of SyTys.
If you don't like something about the event then step up and do something about it.
Everyone just loves to piss moan and complain about every detail but fail to lift a finger to help the cause.
I do everything I can to help, take money out of my own pocket, make phone calls on my own time on my own bill, spend the entire weekend at the event catering to everyone elses' needs, etc. etc.
In fact I often ask myself - "WHY?"
Why bother putting forth so much time and effort for a dwindling attendance?
The answer is easy. SyTy or Die! F the rest.
