I'd post the before pics too...but didn't want to waste that much of your time.
i'm running out of things to sand and wire brush. Guess thats a good thing. Next task is the entire frame...since i can do that after the engine is in I'm in no rush to start that task.

Using a steel wire brush or steel wool on aluminum is not a good idea due to small bits of steel embedding in the aluminum which causes dissimiliar metal corrosion. Best bet is synthetic brush or the 3M scotchbrite wheels.
