Why is there a rail under the truck? (dragster I mean...)

my truck was on the lift so i didn't have to work on the ground and they were working on the dragster as they are racing next weekend. Dave's leaving on Thursday to see if he can break his record and become the fastest front engine dragster.

won't this catch a ton of air while its moving? Seems like it'd create a lot of drag.

I am thinking he will probably have an enclosed car trailer and it won't be an issue.

I just drove a 20 ft enclosed about 400 miles this weekend. My gas bill this weekend sucked.

The second filter is the 10 Micron Filter just to get out the really small stuff

Mounted a Bulkhead at the back of the Cab so we can remove the cab
and not have to worry about the lines that are mounted to the frame.

Just a quick look up at the underside

That's all for this week.
I may have to take a week off so we can figure out where the 57 Chevy is going.
Just need to figure out who, where and when. My Choice are Kenny Davis Hot Rods, Pinkee's or Rad Rides.

Looks like your trip to CO was good then.

Looking good on the Syborg.

If you go with Pinkee's for the '57 I'll have to go check it out. That's gonna be two sweet rides when you're done with them.

Just some Quick Picks of the Intercooler Piping

2006_08_17_030.jpg

All the Hose, V-Bands and Connections were supplied by Jim at:

www.hightempsilicone.com

He makes some really nice stuff and it's not the cheap stuff you find on Ebay.

2006_08_17_031.jpg

You can also see the Intercooler which was custom built by Gerhard at:
www.bellintercoolers.com

Turn around time was less then a week and the Quality is top notch

Re: Sonoma GT 0334 - Build Pics

Happy Saturday Night,

What started out as a very productive day didn't end so well.
Just remember Listen to the Voices in your Head they are there for a Reason!

Yep, found a Lower Radiator Hose that actual works.
It's hard to believe it actual follows the curves of the Frame.

2006_08_19_001.jpg

Installed the new Fiberglass Cladding.

2006_08_19_002.jpg

If you are thinking about adding really cool ground effects to your s10.
You need to contact Scott @ www.syclone-typhoon.com

2006_08_19_004.jpg

Yep missing the last piece of cladding this is where my day ended.
Seems I felt the necessary urge to run a 1/4" drill bit 1" deep into the pad of my left Hand.

2006_08_19_005.jpg

So my day ended early with a trip to the emergency room to make sure I
didn't have any metal in my hand and a tetanus shot just in case.

More to come later in the week once I can use my hand again.
And remember when the little voice tells you that you should move your hand - Listen!

all the time and money and you didn't install a rack and pinion setup?

yep we've talked about a rack at least 100 times and since i don't plan to be slamming the truck in an autocross track the AGR box soon to be a Flaming Rivers box is more then plenty

Re: Sonoma GT 0334 - Build Pics

Happy Wednesday Night.

Stop by the shop to play with some inner fender design and look at the air box.

2006_08_23_055.jpg

Hard to tell from the picture but we are going to draw air in from the the indicators.

2006_08_23_056.jpg

This gives you an idea of the arc were trying to fit acheive in the inner fenders
