A great day, indeed.
The ALASKA Ty has arrived and is tucked safely in the garage. Was buying a truck from Alaska on ebay, basically unseen, a good idea? Was waiting three months to get it and paying big $$ to ship it worth it??
YEEEES!!!
Do I miss my Syclone!? Not anymore!
Before I get to the photos, I have to thank some people:
1. All previous owners of this truck who took very good care of it. It is IMMACULATE!!
2. Tim and AKTy92 for checking the truck out for me in Alaska. During our first conversation Tim was at a loss for words and kept saying "It's perfect."
3. Jeff Scott...who hooked me up with his Dad in Tacoma who took delivery of the truck.
4. Ken Scott...Jeff's dad. Awesome. Great guy.
5. Everyone who's ever gone to check out a truck for me, including the Tennessee boys (Jimmy and Joe) who got me in to this love/hate hobby.
6. The guy in Texas who bought my Syclone and made this whole thing a lot easier. Wife didn't believe I could do it, but it's done.
7. My buddy in Vegas who set up corporate shipping with DAS. YES...DAS!! They might be crap when it comes to retail deals, but obviously their bread and butter is corporate accounts...right or wrong (it's wrong), they treat corporate cars differently. Yes, their lots are made of dirt, but in my case at least, the car came east unscathed.
Interesting: Truck was purchased on 11/11 and received 2/22. Think my plates should read 1111222. (for now, it wears the Syclone plate) Truck traveled more than 4,300 miles, some of that ocean. The last leg is on carrier, but it was enclosed the rest of the time.
Car now has 40,018 miles. Supposed to rain today, plus roads are wet...so I won't be driving it much.
