tuner pro /tuner pro rt

Where can I find a bin for tuner pro & tuner pro RT for the 7749 ecm? I can not find one on the tuner pro rt site. My confusion lies upon the XDF file. The only xdf file I can find is the 6E.XDF file. Can anyone help me so I can run the syty bin in my tuner pro please :)

Re: tuner pro /tuner pro rt

Maverick,

Thanks for the link! However, in tuner pro, I go to xdf and select xdf $ I can not find the file I downloaded from code 59? I try and cut and paste it into the tuner pro xdf file, still nothing. I can see the super8D file I put there, but the only thing my tuner pro can see is the 6E.XDF bin definition. What am I doing wrong?

When browsing to the xdf file, did you change the pulldown menu for 'file type' to "all"?

Re: tuner pro /tuner pro rt

Did you unzip the file from code59.org?

Here is what each file is for:
XDF - File definiton for bin layout so you can edit your chip
ADS - Tunerpro 4.0 ALDL definiton file so you can read the ALDL stream the ecm is putting out.
ADX - Scannerpro ALDL definiton file.

Also all of the Stock SYTY 58 stuff on nwstp.com was moved it its own forum on code59.org. All of the updates will be there now.

Re: tuner pro /tuner pro rt

Here is where I'm at. I open the first drop down box and select XDF file. I then click on bin definitions. the only file I see is the 6E.xdf file. I then select all files on the lower box. Once I open up the code 59, there is nothing in the constant, flag or switche boxes to the left. I then select to import from ECU. I downloaded the "ultimate chip bin's and look for them but they don't show up in the folders they are in? I then select all files and when I select the file to import, I get an error and tuner pro shuts down? Now, if I select the Super_8du.ecu file, I get all types of different values in the boxes to the left for flags/constants/switches. What gives? :(

Re: tuner pro /tuner pro rt

Ok, I think I got it started. I can open tuner pro, not RT. I had to download the code 59 again and zip it to a new location. I went to select XDF file. I copied and pasted the code 59 as I did before, this time, it worked! However, what do I do next? I downloaded the ultimate chips up to file no. 11. How do I import the ecu files? How can I look at the bin files? After I select the XDF file, I try to open up the ultimate chip to see the parameters and when I select all files and then try and open one of the ultimate chip bin's, tuner pro gives an error and I have to shut it down? How do I open the bin file to look at the parameters? I used to have the tuner cat editor, not RT for my Camaro Z28 and I could easily open up the bin file to see the different parameters set in each bin. How do I do that with tuner pro???

Thank you all for your help and your patience! ;)

Re: tuner pro /tuner pro rt

You running code59 or the stock based ultimate bins? Will require different XDF.

If ultimate the correct XDF is on nwstp.com

Honestly it is hard to help you as what i am reading is "It is broke, how do I fix it"

I know you included a little more detail than that but that is what I am reading.

Re: tuner pro /tuner pro rt

Hey, I'm just trying to figure out how to get the tuner pro to work. I was able to get the program to open the XDF file thanks to you guys! :D Now, I'm trying to open the bin for the ultimate chip so I can look at the parameters of the ultimate chip. I think I'm almost there, just need some help here. Any HELP would be greatly appriciated :)

I tried to use the code 58 XDF file with some of the ultimate bin's I found on this site (http://www.powertuneplus.com/syclone/58bins.shtm#28StockUltBins) with no success.

The full ultimate bins are 16 programs all stacked in one, I am not sure if Tuner Pro would handle the stacked bins. I typically seperate the bins to work on them.

Jeff just hasn't had his caffeine yet. :)

Is your xdf in the c:\program files\tunerpro rt\bin definitions directory?

That's where tunerpro defaults to. Copy your downloaded file there if it isn't.
Also, be advised that nearly every xdf available for downloaded is zipped up, gotta unzip it first.

From there it's XDF -> select XDF.

Then load a bin.

File -> open bin. <Browse to wherever you keep your bin files>

Also, F6 Shows/hides the item lists, if you happen to have them turned off.

Re: tuner pro /tuner pro rt

Thank you Turbodig! And thank you everyone else for helping me with tuner pro! I have done extensive tuning with my supercharged iroc with tuner cat. I have always used data runs and no real time emulation since the cost for me to get tuner pro with an ostrich is much more feasable, and it seems more people use tuner pro rt vs tuner cat rt. I plan on purchaseing a typhoon soon and plan on setting up for the chip emulation as soon as I get my hands on a good running typhoon/syclone.

Thank you all for your help!

I use Tcat and Tunerpro both. Tunerpro for the SyTy world, Tcat for other apps.
Both are good programs. Tcat is a bit tougher to define your own stuff with.
The TunerPro data "bubble" is really the killer feature of it. If it only had better datalog graphing, I'd pitch the rest and use tunerpro exclusively.

Hi, that's my website. :) I posted a note near the BIN downloads, but in case you weren't aware, the Ultimate ZIP packages contain both the 256KB multichip BIN, as well as the 16 split 16KB individual programs. I dont think you can load the 256KB BIN right into TunerPro, you have to pick one of the individual programs.

You should set this up, in your free time. ;)
It wouldn't be terribly hard, just a lot of tedious, time consuming work.
The Categories in Tunerpro would make it so that you could load the whole bin, and then only display the T-position that you were working on.

Re: tuner pro /tuner pro rt

Tooky,

I did use one of the bins...BA3barE, C.

thanks,

Still trying to get tuner pro and datamaster to connect. I've had little time to play with my new toy:( My wife and I just moved into our dream home and we are currently having fun arguing while putting in our patio/driveway and lawn:p I can not wait for all of these projects to be done so I can focus on my Ty!

My wife's out of town for work for the next 3 days so I'm gonna find some time to play with the Ty:tup:

Re: tuner pro /tuner pro rt

OK, I finally got the Ty to communicate with the laptop and tuner pro rt. Now, once I have recorded a file, how do I look at the parameters? I found the file that I recorded, however, I do not know how to view the data I recorded. I use to read the recorded data on my Z 28 with excell. I used to use moates ECM 852 which used excell. I tired excell with my tuner pro data with no success. So, how do I read my tuner pro file???

Thanks for the help!

Re: tuner pro /tuner pro rt

I just orderd a new lap top and I"m hoping to get some good data runs in soon! My old lap top is a P3 333mhz laptop..dynosaur!
new lap top does not have the db9 port so I have to use an adapter that goes to my usb port for my cable I got from moates. Will I have any issues doing this? Do I need a special driver for the usb port?

Sorry if I"m a pita, just kind of burning the candle @ both ends...and the middle too:roll:
