Okie changing out the map sensor it is, it is a 3bar off eBay, and the guy I bought it from doesn't have anything listed for sale anymore so that's outta question.

Get one from Hood, I would ! I'm a poet and I didn't even know it! Haha good luck man! It's sounds like that's the ticket from what you're describing and being able to disconnect the map and it runs a little better.

map sensor is on way and will be here monday, ill be outta town from fri-sunday anyways so no biggie... pulled a #1 sparkplug and sure enough black, solid black so im assuming others are... Also when i pulled that plug out, noticed a ground from motor to frame was not connected "ground i added after putting battery to rear".. so i will connect that back up. also picked up a fuel filter to swap out.. i sprayed everything down with a carb cleaner but didnt hear any differences in motor.

ahhh finally back to working on this, its getting cold.. would like one more time at the track...

installed new ngk ur6 plugs gapped at .028 "old plugs were solid black"
installed new map sensor

the truck seems to run better... havent tried driving it yet though.. i checked fuel pressure again, and the needle when the gauge is hooked up is very twitchy, veryvery twitchy.. with vac line off, fuell pressure bouces around 42psi. the WB gauge is reading 11ish at idle which is why i scared to drive it.. the truck even smells rich as hell.. whatcha guys think?

i just got this run, what the wb gauge says and what it says on dm are 2 differfent things, i can feel the truck popping while accelerating. and sometimes when it pops strong enough i see the wb read lean for a split second. i still need to replace fuel filter... should i go throw some 106 race gas in and see what the truck then does?? maybe throw in a addative ??

i would replace fuel filter before anything else

also are you able to look at the FP gauge when u drive?
fp should rise 1psi of boost

i have not checked fuel pressure while driving or under boost, only in idle and underload.. ill try that right now actually

nevermind its dark so i cant see the gauge

Code what?
Whoa! Slow down bro. Before you keep making all these strides forward, take a step backwards. As much as you have checked and replaced everything make sure your at a level to move forward. I'd take a break and recheck all your work that you have done. You may have left something loose, unplugged installed incorrectly ext.

Your map sensor has been replaced with a 3bar? What brand? Did you double check the part number? Also you mentioned you replaced the ect sensor for the ECM. Did you confirm it was the correct one? Double check your work, make a list of what you have done, checked, replaced then let's move forward.

Re: Very rough idle, Wb lean, and more "datamaster log inside"

ive checked everything numerous times man.. vac lines like crazy, even had a friend come over and make sure i wasnt loosing my mind with the plug wires and firing order. From stuff ive done, it runs better and is now driveable but the trucks also been sitting for almost a week without being touched.

yes its been replaced with 3bar and sensor is black with gm on it. and yes i confirmed the sensor, i usually do that anyways when i have to special order parts and i get them in.. learned my leason from not double checking parts store.

things ive done off top my head..
replaced:
distributor
cap
coil
iac valve
reset battery
pulled the chip out from the computer and re-installed it
plugs
checked fuel pressure

and like i said in first post.. the truck did not run like this till i filled up from half tank. i drove it the night before and it ran freakin awsome!! but soon as i filled up the problem started to show itself after about 4 min of driving, which then only got worse and worse

Yes I drive a Typhoon.
Re: Very rough idle, Wb lean, and more "datamaster log inside"

have you checked timing? my harmonic balancer damper was slipping a while back and was causing me issues.

So after it sat for a week you put the new map in and it ran better? Did you try running it before replacing the map? Maybe you have some sediment clogging up at the fuel filter. Checking the rise of fuel pressure while driving could confirm this. Or just replace the fuel filter and see what happens next.

Are your short term fuel counts requesting more or less fuel? I can't read your DM files, I thought if it was under 128 it's requesting less and over is requesting more.

SyTy Gremlins I'm telling ya! Those little bastards come out at night and just get into stuff. But on the other hand where did you get the gas when you filled up? Just curious? You didn't by chance accidentally put e85 in it did ya?

It sat for a week, then got a hair up my ass to drive it one night which that night it ran awsome.. The next afternoon I take it out and it starts acting up.. After that I put the map in hoping to fix it. Im gonna try to replace that filter tomorow when I'm off and take the hood off so I can watch the fuel pressure on the gauge

I cant look at my files either since I'm on a iPad right now I can let you know tonight unless someone else can look and tell you

I went to the mobile down the street, and got 93 like always, they don't even offer e85 or diesel there.. I'm wondering if it was a bad mix or something.. Cause when I filled up, the problem happened after 3 or 4 min of driving, it started when I first hit boost it was cutting out and then it only kept getting worse where just normal driving it was cutting out.

Re: Very rough idle, Wb lean, and more "datamaster log inside"

fuel pressure rises even with boost.. i didnt boost to much even though its there.. the wb still is all over place.. it for sure seemed to run better tonight then last night though

Re: Very rough idle, Wb lean, and more "datamaster log inside"

replaced that with new distributor.. i actually pulled the coil back off tonight, and cant find any part numbers online that match that coil to the typhoon.. so curious if they gave wrong one.. i have that off righ now and will be changing it out tomorow.
