Thats a lot of work you have done there. Good job, it looks great. When this is finished to you plan on having a problem with traction?

Good luck and keep up the great work and updated.

I like your build. Nice work.!

You exhaust parts reminds me of my downpipe & fabbed up for my inline, well a little anyways.
How much heavier is the 4.3 over the 2.8 or the iron duke 4 cylinder?

I noticed the headers were wrapped w/header wrap?
What happened to it?

lol yours is a lot prettier

the header wrap came of because i think i was running a little lean and it cooked it and one plug wire

i may make some stainless sheilds or coating or both... because when i removed the header wrap I could see where it could be a problem in a few years.

Thanks,
it does take time to build things to look nice like your exhaust system.

Could you elaborate more where you could see a possible problem w/your exhaust system?

Have you taken your Fiero to any local tracks, auto cross or?

as we all know turbo engines tend to run hotter exhaust.. and but wrapping the manifolds
i have found they seem to rust or deteriorate faster, i had made a set custom manifolds
a long time ago with wrap and they disintegrated in 2 years. Im using schedule 40 right now
and its holding up nicely. The other problem is that i think the steel manifolds get hotter
than the stainless so the header wrap gets really brittle and falls apart.

my next plan is to draw out some stainless sheet metal sheilds that protect the plug boots
and cut down on the radiated heat. Being midengine.. i dont have as much flow happening
through the engine bay and radiated heat is a big issue. Oven type heat isnt so bad but the
pinpoint intense heat focused on one area has melted throttle cables and and FP relays.

I re located the throttle cable and relay but i want to cut down on any more surprises at
over 120 mph
