Re: Walbro Fuel Pump

Been running a high pressure 255 Walbro here for over eight years now. The difference between a normal 255 pump and a high pressure one is the flow above 50 psi of fuel pressure. Ron Gregory's company APE in Garland, TX is the place to buy Walbro fuel pumps, IC pumps and products by Phil Chivers (front and rear safety loops and hood prop eliminator kits). He has supported these trucks long before I bought mine eight years ago.

The Walbro 255 LTR/HR "High Pressure" unit is an extremely common upgrade and it's well known to support 600 HP (some say 700HP).

Darn near everyone selling in-tank pumps is selling Walbros. (This includes Racetronix, and virtually all the SyTy vendors. And most of the marjor vendors... accell, summit, jegs, etc.)

The old ATR dual pumps were dual walbros. This is sorta moot, since ATR has been out of business now for 2-3 years.

Long and the short of it, if it's in-tank, it's probably a walbro 190, 255, or 255 high pressure.

apeusa.com is as good of a place as any.
