It hadn't occurred to me to check E-Bay but, you're right; no real way to find out for sure if the stall is "as-stated" w/o someone's having tried one of the various converter links you sent me.

Anybody out there have any experience w/ any of these sellers and/or converters?

I purchased one of the Revmax convertors of of ebay a few years ago. 9.5 2800. It was stalled as stated. Worked nice but just wasnt enough convertor for what I was doing. He does not recomend manually locking his convertors. I did repeatedly at the track and destroyed the revmax conv and transmission. 11.70 run is when it let go.. Conv failure was my fault! He did say that he would fix the conv for free. I went ahead and went with a 3 disc precision that suited my abuse better... But for a mild build everyday driver, I would highly recomend Revmax. Give them a call, pretty nice guys from my experience!! They build each convertor per order / application.. Dont let the price scare you!! Heres a picture of the conv before I installed it!
