Replace distributor. Ive seen lots of them with corroded insides and cracked magnets in the pickup coil. I had the same issue and after replacing my ICM and getting stranded again a week later I replaced the distributor and havent had an issue in 2 years.

I cant remember how it installs. I have to pull my inner fender wells soon and inspect for a burnt plug wire. I can snap some pics then.

I can confirm theres no way the 231 covers are a fit. What you are looking for are 229 v6 covers. You will be hard pressed to find a set of tall ones tho. I just sold a set.

When I did the swap I had the truck up on 4 jack stands. I just did b pipes on my Titan which required removing the o2s. They were on there good. A good hose clamp over the special tool keeps it from expanding and rounding the sensor. I had to use a little bit of heat on the bung and use a breaker bar and they eventually came loose.

On mine I used a smaller diameter bolt that was a bit longer so I could add a lock nut and not have to elongate the hole. That way I could install the stock alt back in a pinch.

Stock will be 2 bar. Most aftermarket chips use 3 bar. The MAP must match the chip/tune. What is the # on the one you have now?

So is it doing this after the truck is fully warmed up? Does it do it cold? Truck is definitely overfueling if youre going 10.0 on a light tip in. MAP go bad? You have the dip switches set correctly on the chip for closed loop?

Didn't change my belt. I think the new pulley is smaller than the stock, but the body is bigger. The smaller pulley allows it to make more amps at lower RPM

I did this a while back. Supporting 2500 Watt RMS audio system, dual electric fans, and an electric fan on the IC. At night with the lights on it will drop to just below 14 volts. I havent upgraded the alternator charge wire yet...
