Re: Another datamaster check please

well i adjusted the cable.. i moved it in maybe 4 clicks i guess you can say on the adjuster. shifting is not as hard. 2-3 is def the problem though.. when im in second and it climbs in rpms and gets ready to shift it kinda goes in and out "but still accelerates" then goes into 3rd.. but then again i kept watching and next time around it shifted normaly without hesitation.. yes the fluid is full..

Re: Another datamaster check please

took out to that gas station and drove it manually there threw the gears.. found out once i hit 2nd gear at about 3100ish rpm it kinda hits a wall and causes a bog or slow down.. hard to explain but its like im pulling 15 of boost, then hits 3100 and it goes to 5 and doesnt wanna get out of its own way... so that makes me think its more of a motor issure now rather then tranny.. any idea where to start checkin??? it only does this in 2nd gear, every other gear seems to pull great

Stock truck does it the 1/4 in 13.9-14.7 I clocked the wifes Ty at 14.7 only 30k miles on it Everything looks normal for a stock truck. If you want some more performance go 3bar code59 and get Alchy. You can run 19-21 psi of boost. Should get you down to 13.2. Upgrade to a 60 size turbo with a 2800 stall should get you to mid to low 12s. Someone chime in if im off.

Re: Another datamaster check please

- Bad 60' - Get that down to a 1.7-1.8 and you're knocking that 1/4 time down to 14.2-ish.
- 1/8 ET is high & MPH is low. The ET is mostly from the poor 60', but you are losing power somewhere (the aformentioned boost and shifting issues?) Your 1/8th ET should be an 8.8 or so and you MPH should be mid-high 70's.
- 1/4 MPH is low. You should be in the mid-high 90's. Your 60' and 1/8th mile issues are reflected here.

Get the mechanical issues resolved, get solid boost, and then go get some decent times.

I never noticed, but where are you located? What elevation?

715ft elevation according to Wikipedia. Was wondering if elevation was part of your HP issues, but it's not.

well i did delete the egr since i last did a datalog.. when i plugged it in and started recording it was pulling code 22 and 34 at idle and reving and beeping like crazy at me.. i might do one more run tomorow after work and just see how it compares to the last run then i had you guys check to see if there consistant or not.. btw.. is there anyway i can figure out if its my trans or engine acting up in that 3000rpm spot in 2nd gear?? ill post a video to.. i really wanna get this thing running good so i can start playing and building

Re: Another datamaster check please

the 2-3 hang up sounds like someone tried to do a shift kit and mucked it a bit. The 2-3 shift is a tricky one to schedule and where problems happen. the hesitation your feeling could be the trans not accumulating enough pressure to shift when it needs to, and could be happening for a number of reasons. the good news is if your trans fluid isn't burned then there is a chance that you can get the valve body looked at and repaired without taking the trans out of it. If you can do it great, if not, take it to someone who can work on a 700r4.

Re: Another datamaster check please

well after my laptop crash, finally got it back running couple days ago.. Then after fighting trying to get internet signal i downloaded datamaster and tunerpro again :) then today spend couple hours trying to get pcm to connect but sure enough i got it... did 2 runs tonight, airs about 40degress. Changes from before, i found alot of vacuum leaks and fixed them and also tightened up the tv cable which seemed to solve my 2nd to 3rd issue.. Also i delete the egr which im pulling a light for but the low tps is now also on.. Dont know if im just not giving it 100% throttle or the tps is bad..
