The owner and producer is over welmed and took the site done until he got caught back up.. the controller is really nice but I couldn't wait.. send an email he'll reply it'll just take a few weeks

no the ramchargers fan does not pull the cfm of some other more expensive fans. by the way you asked the question i assume money is no option so i would get a fully aluminum, shrouded turn key setup from summit or jegs. the cost will be $800-1000 for the "best solution".

personally i have less than $100 in my ramchargers setup. its not "the best" but i installed it in a matter of hours, it's fully automatic and i had money to put towards better things.

then yes with the exception of the flexalite controller. i don't mean to knock everyone else's opinion but i simply bought 2 relays and 2 temp sensors for under $20 total. wired everything up and have yet to have any issues. to the best of my knowledge the higher speed has never kicked on which it will do if the coolant temp ever gets over 180.

Flexalite controllers blow.. only rated to something like 20 amps or something silly.. if your using a volvo fan don't use it or you'll be replacing melted wiring. There also was a member on here a year ago or so had a write up with the out come of using his flexalite controller.

well i have the ramchargers fan on order, what a great deal for a bran new twin fan.

i can trigger the low setting through bs3, will find out if i need more after that.

how do you guys run them.. do you run one fan then both fans or do you run both low then both high

You'll probably just need the low. Both fans on low will kill the stock alternator. Been there done that. Melted two flex a lite controllers. Now have LARGE battery cable like no. 4 wire feeding the fans straight off the 75 amp freightliner relay and a 160 amp alternator. Recently one of the fans decided to launch itself out of the motor. Then the other did a nasty sound till I pulled one of the wires and run it on low. I've got a whole new assembly out in the garage but as cold as it's been here, don't really need to worry about it right now.

My Fan clamps right to the stock radiator, hides inside the factory shroud! Works awesome truck never really runs over 185 degrees he the heat.

average about 170-180 all the time.

I don't mind knocking a product that SUCKS. Ryan & George are right.... the Flex A Shit stuff not only sucks, it blows like Ryan said. The Ramchargers rock! Use any 30 plus amp relay and 8 ga. wire and you will be cool!

ramchargers guys. do you cut one of the fans on low, then when the truck gets hot cut the other one on low

or do you cut both to low at one time then cut both to high when hot etc?

i use both at the same time. you can do it however you want. if you have the patience to wire and control both fans individually then by all means git-er-done!

Mine are one for low and both for high. I very seldom if ever have the two come on, when it does swith to both on high, it's only less than a minute or so.

well in a time crunch last night and didnt know the fans come wired together as one plug all ready. so i just have them both comming on low at 190 and off at 180 with a ground ouput from BS3, whats great is in this cold weather they actually arent even on going down the interstate. and w/out the factory fan running, it came up to temperature quicker too

the fans... after the 4 tabs are cut off you could not ask for a custom made set up to fit better.. let alone a generic one for 89 bux! i am very very pleased this far. oh and i had to make a little 'room' on the drivers side to clear the rad. hose.

i removed the entire factory shroud, made some tabs up off of the lower shoud mounting holes to keep the rad from sliding back, reused the rubber feet on the bottom, and made a single clip on the top to hold it up.

so where are you guys getting the ramchargers fans from these days? I read online that those fans are identical to dodge intrepid/chrysler 300 (around 2001) fwd car fans...
