Any details somwhere on Dig's build? How much boost did he run with?
Later,
I had about 21 psi in 1st and 2nd, and it worked up to about 22-23 by the time the 2-3 shift came around. It really doesn't want to make much more
than that with the stock plumbing in place... too many ugly crimp bends,
and the stock mufflers don't flow the best.
It's probably a good thing it didn't make any more boost in 1st, it's kind of
a tire-smoking freak as it is. Anything more than a 4 psi launch and it'll
really start killing my 60-fts. Gotta spring for the drag radials, I guess.
Time slips went pretty much like this (I had 2 that were nearly identical)
60 1.72
1/8 5.99
1/8 MPH 91.4
1/4 11.94
1/4 MPH 111.8 (other slip the MPH was 112.4)
I've had pretty much the same stuff on it for the last 4-5 years, really:
TD06H-20g/14cm turbo, inlet bell mouthed, and exhaust housing matched
to the exhaust manifold. WG canister upgraded with 810 spring.
Stock downpipe, mufflers, and tailpipe. Stock cat is now "free-flowing",
via a hammer and a long punch.
ATR FPR regulator, complete with JB-weld, due to the fact the damn
threads pulled out of the adjustment screw. ATR double-pumper fuel pump.
Factory injectors.
Stock intercooler, bell-mouthed and smoothed. Stock CCHE, with Shur-Flo
pump, Spal CCHE fan. Ford heater cooler in front of radiator for aux CCHE
K&N filter in stock factory air box, with factory crossover tube.
Stock TB with metal airfoil, bell mouthed and smoothed.
Original tires, on original wheels. (that need to be re-coated)
2" rear drop.
Original, unopened motor. Valve covers + manifolds have never been
off it.
ATR wires and Autolite 23 plugs, gapped to .028. MSD 6A, MSD Blaster
replacement coil.
Custom tuned chip, done by me.
Built 700r4 trans, with 9/11" converter. Big trans cooler.
4-wheel Biondo line locks. 7/8" rear brake cylinders.
That's about it. Took a long time to get into the 11s... hopefully the 11.50s
will be easier.
