I started the day out at 8 am with my 67 GTO 400 short block in the back of my Typhoon. I had to deliver it to Hatfield PA to my engine builder in 6 inches of snow. I got back into town at noon - got my truck washed and got over to Hooters a few hours later - but I made it. My heater doesn't work, my steering wheel shakes badly, my front alignment is in need of attention, and traffic was absolutely atrocious. But I still came out and had a decent time. Good to see Tom P, Renz and all the others before hibernation. Call me wierd but I like driving my truck and it still looks good - at least I'm getting my fun outa my truck.

Let's see how many excuses there will be for not attending the spring Englishtown meet next year.

Oh don't be so harsh. It's not a stones throw away for all of us. I'll make E-town even if the Ty isn't done.

Everybody chill. Sometimes you can make it, sometimes you can't. There were 2 or 3 events in 2005 that I had planned on attending and last minute crap put the hex on. No biggie. And btw, not much fun washing the salt off in 39 degree temps today, so I don't blame anyone for not bringing their truck out in it.

NASTE seems like a tight and very active group and there'll be lots of opps to get together when the weather is clear. Maybe a huge event (Nats-like) is in order for the east coast? I'm around to help. :tup:

I drive mine everyday just not in the past two weeks or so.. brake system is jacked up more ways then one

Don't take Tom's remarks personally, he attends one naste event a year and now he's complaining? :lol: I won't bring my syclone out in that yesterday either and I only live a few minutes away.

Hey Don, I really like your pics. You a have a unique, subtly different way of capturing our trucks.

Read it again Mike, maybe you'll get it the 2nd time around. 20 people put there name on the list and 6 showed up. That's what I'm getting at. If you can't go don't put your name on the list. I drove three and a half hours and used a sick day because I work weekends (and that's why I don't go to every meet) Drive up to Dave & Busters in March, oh wait, that's right, you don't do any events in NY. Must be too far. And I guess your escalade doesn't come out in the snow either.

Not really Steve. Jersey guys kind of do there own thing, which is cool. That's why most of the events are in south jersey. I'd schedule stuff in NY, and there are PLENTY of shows to do, but no one will show up, like Albany this summer.

I think I only put 1,000 miles on my truck this year (not including the trek from Tennessee), so I don't mind going a little further for a gathering. No doubt Tom, if I drove 3.5 hours and 5 trucks showed, I'd be bummed. :tdown:

Events need to be solid well in advance IMHO. Most are. This Hooters thing didn't gel until a week or two before...and Dec. is a hard month weather wise.

Your right there are alot of events in south jersey but for some it isn't that far. I'm northeast of philly so everything is far. Your right Baythan in spring there will be more opps. I second the nats-like gathering. Definetly need more planning than usual for something like that.Also need a central location for everyone.

I don't mind putting a few miles on my truck I use to care but whats the point of owning something and not enjoying it to the fullest. One thing I don't wanna do is drive in the snow or rain just my own preference so weather is usually the deciding factor for me that and if my truck is even mobile. On that note I think I said I would attend 4 or 5 meets this year and made it to 1. I know weather was the reason for this past one and the 2 of them my truck still wasn't running. I apologize for that I know its gotta suck to see a list of 20 trucks and then someone makes a long haul to meet 6. I'm just saying I won't know until I look outside that day if I'm coming for sure to a meet.

mikes pits meet has been great2 times in a row and lots of people show to that. plus track beatings, highway cruises, drive through strip clubs. race gas at normal stations. all good. fast sy rides in the back lot, even when i sleeping and miss it it is still cool
