Count me in. Will the host hotel likely be north Denver, or closer to the track?
This will be the first one in years that my Sy has been able to attend...

Are you going to be driving, or trailering yours down Dig?

Trailer queen, unfortunately. While I'd love to be able to drive one through the Black Hills, I think I'd hyperventilate doing that with an 18k mile truck.

That, and if the fam comes along, there isn't exactly ample seating in the Sy. :)

Truckless. For now.

Looking at several options Dig. Hoping to get as close to the track as possible. I have a hotel "picked out" that's only 6 miles or so from the track, with a route to the track that involves no highway driving. But I've not started making contact yet. Hopefully in the next few weeks after a date is ironed out.

OK... I figured that south would be the likely target.

Re: Nationals 12. Denver, CO

There is no homecoming this year, we are a every other year event as to not compete with National we are a regional event, there will be the spring and fall BBQs this year ( I dropped ball on fall BBQ this year) but there will be no homecoming in 2011 but there will be a HC 2012
For those in the Southeast not attending NATS, remember that the above is the same for the Shindig - we're alternating years with NATS. We don't aim to compete with HC (we're far enough apart and at diff. times of the year to not compete) but having it on even years (with HC) works best to avoid NATS conflicts (plus we like a year break to plan for the next Shindig).

As for NATS12, I'll probably fly in (we missed Denver on our vacation last month, so this will be a good excuse to get out there).

Whatever. You got that 48' trailer with living quarters, and a new tow pig. Just think the money you'll save on a hotel you can spend on gas.

I don't think the hotel savings will cover the fuel bill.....plus time off work.......:tdown:But hey why don't you tow my sy out there and I'll fly out! What ya think!

I'll tow it out there for you, as long as you foot the bill for gas. You're truck probably gets better mileage than mine does. Or, just borrow Irv's toter and trailer and tow both of ours.

Now what kind of fun would that be?

Actually, I think it's sometimes good to go without. You're not obsessing over how clean it isn't, or whether it's going to break...

Nats is always fun, truck or not.

TJ - Any plans for a Mountain cruise? This one one of the high points in past HAN events, a nice drive on a twisty, scenic mountain road to some destination (like a dinner or car show or ?).

I will be attending. i am however very bummed that a ton of people already said they were not coming. I DROVE out (32 hrs or so)with Dave P and bad Ian last time, come on people sac up and hop on a plane, your truck does not need to be there. I am sure i will pick people up at the airport or the way there if need be. More the merrier, dam it.

Just getting to the states would be a 36 hour marathon. I think I'll fly in. If someone needs a passenger to ride along from WA, I'd be game to copilot! Just need dates.

I might be looking for a co-pilot. I think it would be a LOT easier if Leanne and Ryan flew, and just met me down there.
