I am trying to understand how the fuel system operates. Does the pump receive a constant full voltage signal, on/off, or is it variable? Also, is the signal tied to the ignition or with the computer?

Can someone tell me if the engine mounting points/bolt pattern are the same - 4.3 and 350? I am thinking about picking up a set of motofeet to use when I pull the engine and trans out of my Ty but there isn't a specific part # for the 4.3.
