Low Oil, Knocking, Vibration - Oh My!

Sorry, I'm bored. Been reading recent posts about low Oil Pressure and Knocking Noises. My "fresh" engine had a very subtle knock at just off idle, under load. Here's what I found when I opened up my knocking engine: All 6 top rings were either split, broken or collapsed This piston has...

    Air Cleaner for A2A

I've got RPM's A2A and am looking for advice on an air cleaner setup. I'm running a PTE51, with a 3" inlet. This turbo is a little larger than stack, so it extends further forward (closer to the core support). Thus my piping is a little different from standard (Turbo Outlet only). Before I...

    Addco Rear Swaybar on Syclone

OK, I've searched and cannot find a picture of how this damn thing is installed. I have 2" lowing blocks and can't seem to get it lined up anywhere. Please, NO thread references - I've checked those and if there were any pictures, they are long gone. If someone has a genuine picture (side...

    Brakes - Looking for input.

I'm looking for some direction... This week I am picking up front (upper control arm, calipers and rotors) and rear (calipers, backing plate/mounting block & rotors) LS1 F-body brakes from a local wrecking yard. I am running 17" ZR1 clones. I am probably going to keep ABS. My issue is that I...

    Trans cooling lines

Where do you "clock" the 45 degree fittings for braided steel 6AN trans cooling lines. My engine is out, with the trans is sitting a little low and I can't visualize what looks like a good position for the lines that will route forward to a front mounted cooler. Thanks, Chris

    Tuning in Ft. Worth Area

Anyone out there know Bill Duke in Saginaw, TX? I was referred to him by Speedtek Performance in Ft. Worth. Bill told me that he just finished a Sy for a local fellow - if you're out there, please contact me via PM or @ 214-762-2910. I understand that your setup is similar to mine. Thanks, Chris

    Starting from scratch

Well, looks like I now need another block! # 2 main threaded hole has a crack from the "previous" injury. It is very obvious that engine was severely over-boosted/leaned, resulting in: 1. # 2 & # 3 Mains distorting and spinning inserts, cracking the block...

    This is what's wrong...

Tore down the Sy engine today, after progressively louder knocking: Broken 1st rings on 3 & 5. Spun # 3 main bearing - lots of copper showing on the others. So, I guess I'll be safe and try a new crank, line bore splayed caps, zero-gap rings and start from scratch. Any recommendations on...

    Newbie here

I just bought my cousin's '91 Sy. He had too many projects and was burned out on this one. I've been checking out the Forum for the last week and have found lots of useful information. Here is a rundown on the truck, which I just trailered from Davie,FL to Ft. Worth, TX: #612 - 32,000 miles...
